Acupuncture needles are very fine needles, about the width of a hair that are gently inserted on ‘acupuncture points’ found in different areas of the body. These acupuncture points have been found to influence the body in many important ways. For example, they relax tense muscles, decrease swelling, improve circulation, decrease inflammation, improve digestion and calm the nervous system.
